This weekend thousands of trade visitors from all over the world, including Jeti Model, met in Nurnberg, Germany, excited to announce several new product releases. Take a look below to see what they brought!
Caught In the Act – Meet Manny and James
We snuck in one day and caught Manny and James in the act! Take a look at our builders working in the shop on several Professional Build projects.
For The Love of the Hobby!
For some, the joy of flying has no limits, even if it may be below freezing outside! Take a look at Ed Brazina testing out his Jeti system. To keep warm in the whopping 19 degree weather, Ed has built a warming box to contain his DS-16 transmitter and hands!
Meet David Soufer
It all began in 1991 for our new Team Jeti USA pilot David Soufer. He was hooked. Although familiar with many airplanes, David’s fleet consists of mostly BVM jets. Currently David owns a BVM F100 F, BVM F4, BVM Ultra Bandit, BVM Bandit MKII, BVM Bobcat, and BVM eBandit (14S), however since 1996, when he started flying exclusively jets, he has had a BVM Maverick , Hot-Spot, Blade, Skymaster F18, Rafael B01, Seven Bandits (Composite and Super) and a BVM F100 D. Alongside his many airplanes, he has had a chance to tinker with many radios.
“The radios I have used in the past have been JR10X, JR12X, Spektrum 18X, the 18XQQ and the best of them all is my beloved Jeti DS-16-Carbon.”
“I try to fly twice a week or as time allows” States David, so look for him on the field! Welcome to Jeti USA!
Meet Jim McEwen
With about 30 years of both flying and building RC Planes, Jim McEwen has seen a lot. Since the early 90’s Jim has been immersed in the world of ducted fans and turbine propulsion systems. Come the late 90’s Jim made the move from Canada to the beautiful sunshine state. Once in Florida, he joined the RCACF field in Orlando where he enjoyed the Florida jet scene for a few years. After that, he continued on to Phoenix, Arizona where is has become involved with scale jet competition. He has held several positions as part of the organizing staff at the Jet World Masters in Dayton in 2011, then as crew/spotter at Top Gun ’13 and the Jet World Masters in Switzerland, and now as a competitor.
Jim’s fleet of scale aircraft includes several Gripens, a Rafale, a Mirage F-1, and a Tunnan which he is currently building for the Jet World Masters 2015 in Germany.
“I am an aerospace engineer and have historically focused on the engineering and systems that go into R/C planes. I was greatly impressed with the Jeti system (particularly the redundancy, telemetry, and warnings) and have been enjoying helping to introduce the system to the west coast and providing support to Jeti users” Says Jim.
You can find him attending most west coast jet events such as Desert Jet Storm, Tucson Jet Rally, Monster Invitational Jet Jam, Arizona Jet Rally, and the Best in the West Jet Rally. Welcome to the team Jim!
Welcome to Team Jeti USA!
Jeti USA and Esprit Model would like to welcome our newest members to the team! We are happy to see you flying with us out on the fields! It’s a pleasure to announce Jim McEwen, David Soufer, and “Oat” as Jeti USA!
Meet Ashleigh Heath
Ashleigh Heath, our newest Team Jeti USA member is not your average 14 year old. Just a freshman in high school, Ashleigh has already been flying for three years. At the age of 11 she received a Hobby Zone Super Cub LP and taught herself to fly. In the next few months, Ashleigh became the proud owner of a four channel fixed wing aircraft and she was hooked. Up until summer of 2012 small foamies had been her bird of choice. Joe Nall Week quickly changed everything.
“I flew my first gas giant scale plane at Joe Nall Week, a 3D Hobby Shop 104” Slick. I now have a few 3DHobbyShop 30cc airframes, 3DHS 87″ and 103″ Extras, and various smaller balsa planes and foamies. I enjoy this hobby very much and I’m going to stick with it for a long time.” Ashleigh states. Welcome to the team!
