New Jeti Products!
Hey guys! I just wanted to let you know we have some brand new Jeti items in stock. The newest telemetry sensor, the MAlti is a new altitude sensor that uses the atmospheric pressure to calculate the distance above sea level, much like the MVario2. It is a great sensor if you need a basic altimeter. It measures three different parameters, air pressure, altitude, and the temperature of your sensor. The cost of the sensor will save you about 35 dollars from the MVario2.
The other new gadget from Jeti is the DSM ESC Switch. This little guy automatically monitors and switches between two power supplies either Two Rx Batteries, Rx Battery & ESC or Two ESCs. This device is great if you have a twin motor setup.
From The Flight Line – Butch’s Comanche
Take a look at this amazing helicopter that one of our customers has been working on. Completely custom, this helicopter just amazes me. It is comprised of a 65″ Len Mount Fuselage, KDE T-Rex 700 upgrade parts, two Scorpion motors (one for main and one for tail), and two Castle Creations ESCs. The cockpit is built from scratch, andn even has animated displays that run on a ten minute loop. Click “Read More” to see more photos!
Flysafe Training Was A Success
The Atlanta Flysafe Training was a great experience to be a part of. Charles Eide, the founder, kick started the training on Friday with a huge welcome. After the welcome, the training courses started, covering topics from a basic introduction to RC all the way up to the business aspects of aerial photography. Atlanta Hobby kept the excitement going with amazing product demonstrations including the brand new Inspire 1 4K quad. Not only was this a training course, there were raffle giveaways that excited almost everyone in attendance. A giant hats off to the guys at Flysafe, and Congrats to all the students!

Meet Chuck
Chuck first got started in the hobby in 1984. His first love was RC Fixed Wing. Once the late 90’s hit, chuck became addicted to the world of helicopters. He was involved in a local flying club called the Tulsa Glue Dobbers, where he and many other friends would fly Helicopters. With-in the last few years, some of his flying companions at the club decided to break off and create a Heli Club called Broken Arrow Rotors. In only a year’s time, the Broken Arrow Rotors club managed to turn an abandoned county nursery into a quality RC field, building a shelter and installing power. You can find Chuck and his club-mates attending several Funflys, including IRCHA, throughout the year. ” I competed in the IRCHA Speed Cup the first two years it was held, and I plan on competing in sportsman class this year.” States Chuck.

A Much Awaited Edition
Last week we finally received the new Secraft DS-16 Transmitter Tray. As soon as it made its way to my desk, I rushed to the shop to assemble it. It came neatly packaged in a plastic bag with individual compartments for each piece, which was great because some of the screws are quite small and, knowing myself, would have gotten lost. The tray itself was very easy to assemble. There were only four pieces to connect together. Once I built the tray, I grabbed my transmitter. There are two adhesive squares that are placed on the bottom of the DS. These help to keep a tight fit on my transmitter. Once I slid my Jeti DS-16 in the tray and tightened the lock, I was good to go!
Now, I know you’re probably wondering why I didn’t just keep with the universal tray. As the universal tray does work with this transmitter, the DS-16 tray is specifically designed with the shape and weight of my transmitter in mind. The bottom bracket is not only angled to fit the shape, it has rubber pads to protect it. In addition, this tray comes with special extended brackets, designed to distribute the weight, keeping a CG that is comfortable to fly with. Over all, I am in love with this tray. It is offered in two colors; Red and Black, and we expect it to be available on our website by the end of the week. Keep an eye on our out New Products page for it to pop up. Until then, here are some pictures.
Happy Birthday To You…
Meet Nate!
Nate started his addiction at a young age. When he was a small boy, his grandfather introduced him into the world of RC, and he has been flying ever since. When Nate hit his teenage years, he decided to start flying competition. In the time period of his competition flying, he walked away with from IMAC Aerobatics with several medals. Over the years, Nate has dabbled in a little bit of everything, landing most recently on Fixed Wing and Helicopters. Nate’s exposure to aviation does not stop with flying RC. As a career, Nate owns and operates his own aviation business of repair, restoring, and flying full scale aircraft.
